OFF-CAMPUS RECYCLING SITE CONTAINERS & SIGNS
Following is a list of the diverse container types and signage utilized in Off-campus Housing areas for recycling collection:

DeWald Recycling Sheds - Steel recycling sheds are excellent ways to both organize and maintain recycling sites. (See here for examples of recycling sheds in Housing.) Since they are enclosed, inclement weather is kept from damaging containers or contaminating recycling. These sheds are used at Spencer View and East Campus.

55-gallon fiberboard and plastic barrels - These barrels are used both inside the DeWald recycling sheds and stand alone as containers for collection.

16-gallon tubs - Tubs are also used in conjunction with the DeWald recycling sheds.

Adhesive decals (link to new decals) Typically not the only signage, these help designate the material collected in a container.

Please see here for pictures of the containers and signs listed above.

PRESENTATIONS
Anytime during the year is a good time to provide recycling information and answer questions for the Family Housing community. The UO Zero Waste Program has been requested by residents to present recycling information at events such as the Westmoreland Community Breakfast, a social and informational gathering of residents and the Spencer View Spring Fair. Presentations can also be arranged for tenants' council meetings. If you are interested in presentations at any off-campus or family housing location, please contact the Housing Zero Waste Program Coordinator at (541) 346-0929.
